Story Line

Lady Chatterley’s Lover follows the story of an aristocratic couple, Connie’s search for a new love when her husband Clifford does not reciprocate. Connie meets a gamekeeper who works at their castle, Gamekeeper Oliver. She becomes his lover, and Connie leaves all the happiness, wealth, and the palace to move to a cottage near her love for the sake of her true love.

Summary

Lady Chatterley’s Lover begins with a marriage between a girl named Connie and Clifford, an army man. A few days after the marriage, Clifford leaves for war, but when he returns, half of his body has stopped working, leaving him unable to have sex.

Connie and Clifford both come to their old palace away from the city. Clifford can’t walk, so Connie takes him to the washroom, changes his clothes, and does many things, but after a few days Connie gets tired of all this work.

Connie was completely deprived of Clifford’s love because the lower part of Clifford’s body did not work, so Clifford could not have intercourse with Connie, which upset Connie. Clifford told Connie that they needed an heir, but that no one should know that the child was not his.

Clifford wanted to continue his dynasty, so he asked Connie to choose a partner of her choice and demanded a child. Connie was not at all ready for this at first. When Connie used to go for a walk in her garden, she would meet a retired army man who was the gamekeeper of the same palace.

The gamekeeper Oliver’s wife also cheated on him when he went to war; she used to spend time with other men. Connie slowly started to become attracted to Oliver, and he could not stay away. They both went into hiding and secretly began to have a physical relationship.

In a few days, news spread throughout the village that a queen had spent the night with her gamekeeper. Clifford is very angry at Connie and he says, “I told you to choose a man who would protect our lineage. Yes, you have sullied my name, so we cannot keep this child.”

Clifford kicked Oliver out of the village, but as Oliver was leaving, he promised Connie that he would go out and find him. Connie also promises that she will not stay with Clifford; for the sake of her love for you, she will sacrifice all this happiness and wealth and will wait for you.

Connie leaves Clifford and returns to her town. She waits for Oliver for many years, and now her child has also grown up and started going to school. One day, suddenly, Connie receives a letter in which Oliver tells her the address of his house. Connie immediately goes to that address in Scotland, then she meets Oliver and they embrace each other. Once again, love wins and the film ends with this.
